Small Ships; Skiffs and Coasters

The Skiff

The skiff is a small sailing vessel that is not well suited for long voyages, but is very convenient for short trips. It does not hold many people, but it does have a few small holds for quick trade runs.

vessel is under sail power only
vessel can clock in at 15 knots

The smallest of ships, the skiff is the first ship for many alyrians, for being the cheapest of all ships. Get the most out of your skiff by not getting caught in SPK. Old Skiffs can only sail at 12 knots.

The Coaster

A coaster is a sailing vessel with seven masts. It can lie closer to the wind than square-rigged sailing ships, and is therefore fairly fast. It does not have much in the way of cargo space and does not carry many people, but it is a nice ship for short trade runs or passenger travel.
